Buttock augmentation

Nowadays, it is possible to increase the size of our buttocks through silicone implants or fat infiltration. The decision on which technique is most suitable for you will be made during the first consultation. In our usual practice, we combine the implantation of a prosthesis with lipoinfiltration, which allows us to enhance and round the gluteal contour at the same time.

First Consultation

During the first consultation, a general assessment of your health status will be carried out, as well as an examination of your buttocks, evaluating skin quality, stretch marks, and degree of sagging. Additionally, a series of measurements and photographs will be taken to plan your surgery.

The different surgical techniques that we can perform in your case, as well as the postoperative evolution, will be explained to you.

You should be as honest as possible, expressing any doubts that may arise.

Surgery and Anesthesia

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and requires a 24-hour hospital stay. It is done in the prone position, meaning "face down," and the scars are located on both sides of the intergluteal fold. Through this incision, the gluteal implants, specially designed for this area, are placed at the subfascial, submuscular, or intramuscular level, depending on each case and the required volume.

The duration of the procedure is usually 90 to 120 minutes.

Typically, the placement of the implants is combined with liposuction of some area and filling with autologous fat to improve both the shape and volume of your buttocks.

Buttock augmentation is rarely an isolated surgery and is usually included as a procedure in larger surgeries such as liposculpture.

Postoperative

It is important to know that the results of this procedure depend directly on the postoperative period. During the three days following the operation, it is a priority to maintain bed rest, except for bathroom visits. Walking begins on the third day, although it is still necessary to sleep face down (prone position) and avoid sitting for long periods, at least until the 3rd week.

You will need to wear a compression garment, such as a girdle, for 6-8 weeks, which will be indicated during the first visit.
