Cervico-Facial Lifting

Over the years, and as a natural consequence, those unsightly folds appear that change our facial expression. The cervico-facial lift is one of the best facial rejuvenation treatments recommended for those men and women who notice their skin has started to sag but still maintain a good degree of elasticity. This technique will help reduce wrinkles and restore a younger-looking face. Thanks to the lift, the patient will regain skin tone and have a face full of vitality again.

First Consultation

During the first consultation, a general assessment of your health status will be conducted, as well as an evaluation of the degree of facial skin sagging, your wrinkles, eyelids, and double chin. This will determine if the cervico-facial lift is a suitable procedure for you.

During this first visit, the selected surgical procedure will be explained to you, along with the possible complications and the care you will need to maintain during the postoperative period.

You should be as honest as possible and clearly express your doubts.

Surgery and Anesthesia

The facial lift is a surgery that requires GENERAL anesthesia and a 24-hour hospital stay. The surgery lasts approximately between 3 and 5 hours.

The procedure begins with an incision along the hairline in the sideburn area, descending along the inner margin of the ear to the earlobe. In some cases, this incision may be extended behind the ear. The resulting scar is almost imperceptible and very easy to conceal. Next, the skin of the face and neck is dissected to access the SMAS (Superficial Musculo-Aponeurotic System) and perform the facial tightening. Once completed, the facial skin is readjusted, and the excess skin is removed. This procedure is often combined with liposuction of the submandibular fat (double chin) and sometimes also with blepharoplasty and facial fat fillers.

Postoperative Care

The postoperative period of a facial lift is not painful; you may experience a feeling of tightness at the scar sites, which is easily manageable with regular painkillers.

Numbness or a tingling sensation in the face is normal, especially in areas close to the scars, and this will improve over time.
